Evaluation and Management of Fetal Infections

Fetal infections, also known as congenital infections, occur when certain viruses, bacteria, or parasites are transmitted from mother to baby during pregnancy. Early evaluation and management are critical to prevent complications such as growth restriction, birth defects, neurological damage, or even stillbirth.

At our center, we provide comprehensive care for the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of suspected or confirmed fetal infections. Common infections include:

• TORCH infections (Toxoplasmosis, Rubella, Cytomegalovirus, Herpes)
• Parvovirus B19
• Syphilis, Zika virus, and other viral infections

• Ultrasound and Doppler scans to assess fetal health
